In high school I had lectures on world culture. The lecturer was so great. She gave us so many new and valuable information. But as for me the most interesting part was about art history especially about period of impressionism. And of course I felt in love with the greatest impressionist Oscar Claude Monet and his paintings. And I can't describe my feelings when in 2008 I went to Paris and firstly saw his works in original. And then one of my best friends gifted me a book about Monet and his work. And there were some illustrations. And I watched them and watched and watched. I couldn't understand how it's possible to create such masterpieces. And I decided to try. But I've never tried oil painting so I preferred my own plasticine method. It took a lot of time but it was a great process. Of course it's not even close so beautiful as Monet artwork. But I like the result.
Plasticine, a brand of modelling clay, is a putty-like modelling material made from calcium salts, petroleum jelly and aliphatic acids. The name is a registered trademark of Flair Leisure Products plc. Plasticine is used extensively for children's play, but also as a modelling medium for more formal or permanent structures.
