I was indulged with an idea to convey the substantiality of various objects: the cold touch and heaviness of metal and openwork lace of gypsophila. In the process of painting, it was a particular pleasure for me to depict how the light from the window is reflecting on the creamer and colours shimmering on the ins and outs of the dish. I wanted to create a sense of randomness and momentary in the composition, but such simplicity is quite deceptive - it was rather a challenging task to achieve a sense of volumes of the bouquet.
