Artist's description:

Minimalist collage with jigsaw puzzle pieces

Everybody loves puzzles. There is no better feeling than opening a new puzzle and knowing you are about to have days of entertainment. But what happens if your favourite game falls into the hands of a visual artist?
If you are anything like him and you have a fascination for mother's nature magic, this is what might happen: you will witness a transformation. A proper metamorphosis will unfold the secret intricacy of a skeleton leaf, turning an inanimate piece of cardboard into a living creature.

Specifics: this artwork forms part of a series of 2 abstract compositions. I have transferred the leafpattern on some blank jigsaw puzzle pieces mounted on origami paper, where a leaf skeleton have been previously applied.
Size (framed): 32x32x4.5

Materials used:

Leaf skeleton, print on puzzle pieces, washi Japanese paper
