Artist's description:

The imagery in this piece is an experiment in the recession of film layers of a burning photograph. At once emulsive and yet a blending of three pigment layers, the material is a juxtaposition of itself.

The technique is one of my own development which I call "plasticized aeration" and involves forcing air and water into the paint to texture the medium.

Materials used:

acrylic paint, water, brushes, palette knives

Melt (2016)
