Depression or Major Depressive Disorder has become one of the largest heath concerns in our society right now. There are some features or indicators of the Major Depressive Disorder. For example, the depression experience has to be recurring over two weeks or longer; the depression has affected the daily living such as sleeping, eating, working. The person with major depression sometimes lost his/her interest in his/her favorite food, sports, hobbies and so forth. In my understanding, being depressed does not mean the world you live in is dark and grey, it’s more about your inner self. The world is still as colorful, meaningful and versatile as it is at all times. It’s just the person with deep depression can’t find access to the bright parts of his/her life. It seems like the happy and bright things in life has been locked in the deep bottom of the heart. It’s a despair and frustration that you don’t have a desire to approach what used to make you happy and motivated. When I see the word of depression, I don’t see a dark, black and grey world, but a distance to happiness, positive energy from inner selves.
