Artist's description:

The teenagers start to appear in the early evening and egg each other on to get on the rides. They get excited and scream - a lot! This is one of those rides on a pivot that throws people high and then swings them fast back to the ground.

I've always found the music and lights of funfairs exciting. Each year my father used to arrange our town fair, with a committee, and it was a thrill to meet the people who made these rides come to life. Love finding them at motorsport events too.

Every year there is a May Fair in Hereford (UK). It's a right for the people of the City given in medieval times. Moving on from the original idea of the day, now a modern mechanical funfair rolls into town for a few days in May.
