Artist's description:

Since settling in SW France, I have been fascinated by these strange buildings built to breed pigeons, and I was reminded of the watercolours I had done when I was writing an article on pigeonniers for My French Life. Many were destroyed after the French Revolution, but, where I Live in Mézin, there are an abundance of fine examples.
