Original artwork description:

Exploration of the male form in printed media through a collage composed of vintage physique magazines and spray painted patterns. This work is a study of heteronormativity and male objectification through colour and composition. The colours red and gold are used as regal symbols. The title plays with the ambiguity of the word "Martes", which could mean Tuesday or Mars (the Roman god of war and masculinity).

Materials used:

card, paper, vintage magazines, spray paint
