Artist's description:

I have been working since three years on a comic book project that Margarita, the young woman represented in this sculpture, is the heroine. To be sure to represent the character in an ideal and coherent way, I began by creating this archetype in volume, first in plasticine, then molded, and cast in plaster.
Margarita represents many of my aspirations to freedom, and to free will. Being of French nationality, it also refers to the iconography of the Marianne, patron saint of the French revolution, and today diverted for populist and ultranationalist purposes. My Marianne, Margarita, has no political color, she is free, though a prisoner of the universe built around her.
