Artwork description:

This Portuguese Man-o-War was captured in a net and gently transferred to a tank in my studio. It was photographed over the course of several hours and then released back into the ocean unharmed. The Man-o-War may look like a typical jellyfish but it is actually a colony of organisms that coexist in a symbiotic fashion. Because it was a living colony much patience was required to coax the animal into the right positioning for the photograph. This artwork is in fact a three image panorama digitally stitched together. The coloration of the man-o-war is due to my post-processing techniques.

Materials used:

This Artwork Is A Digital Composite Photograph Printed By The Artist Using Archival Inks And Archival Paper. It Is Face-Mounted To Acrylic With An Acid Free Backing And Hanging System. The artworks comes ready to hang!
