My interest in tall and lush mallows has been apparent since I was a child. I have always been fascinated by how these mostly wild plants can be so beautiful. Their rich palette of species seems endless! Of course, mallow is one of the symbolic flowers for Ukrainians. In our culture mallow is an amulet of home. Almost near every house these magnificent plants bloom. Malva is a symbol of love for the parental home and native land. She is the embodiment of dreams and joy. Of course, I could not remain indifferent to this theme, so I created a new work in oil, filled with the beauty of mallow inflorescences and Ukrainian symbolism.

The painting is authentic and original.

Oil colours based on high quality pigments have been used. Damar varnish and linseed oil have been added.

The canvas is natural cotton, fine texture. Wooden frame, baguette frame and mounting hardware are not included. There is a 6cm wide blank loose canvas around the perimeter of the image. This white border allows the picture to be stretched over a stretcher frame.

The paint strokes are of medium density. Lacquer is not used as a topcoat.

Printing is possible.
