Artist's description:

This piece also, male nude study, was one of a series of nudes I did entitled " The Sodium Nudes " which actually referred to a painting technique where the painting of flesh tones on a blue or green background was expanded.. giving the effect the of nude underneath an old fashioned sodium light, the ones with the yellowish glow of old style street lighting.

The whole series was an experiment and a study in technique more than anything else. ... a study none less ( artists often cheat by not painting detailed appendages.. ) these pieces apart from a couple followed in that tradition.

Painted by hand in acrylics, this piece was built up layer by layer...I stopped just short of getting into too fine detail..that is not what a study is about, however a nude is a nude, so there we go.

Not salacious, would not be welcomed in some quarters but I hope tasteful enough to be regarded as proper art by a proper artist who generally does not do portraits and figurative works.

The work is reserved at the moment it needs re-photographing, checking etc before sale and there is private interest in it already, however thought I'd share it with you so far.
If you are interested, please let me know and I will bring the completion of the listing to the fore and add new photographs and check the painting from stock.
Thank you

Thank you
