Artist's description:

2016
oil on raw canvas
48 x 48 inches

The beautiful colors in this painting are very joyous and the experience is reminiscent to the joyful colors and playfulness of Australia's famous artist Ken Done. Looking at this painting one feels transported to a field of Australian wild flowers where bees are busy. No one color overwhelms - they all just play off each other creating movement while at the same time the raw canvas and the neutrals and the softness of the application give a feeling of calm and peacefulness! Feel the warmth and smell the wildflowers and listen to the busy bees - it's all right there!

Although the inspiration for this painting was indeed a filed of wildflowers just north of Perth, it could be anywhere in the world!
