Artist's description:

This painting shows five different species of birds that I saw in a single fig tree at the same time while out walking at dawn in the Makasutu forest in The Gambia, West Africa in 2013. There’s a pearl-spotted owlet, an African golden oriole, a violet turaco, a green pigeon and an Abyssinian roller. It was a little piece of magic to see such variety and beauty hopping about the branches so close to each other and to me!
