Magpies have such a lot of superstition around them which is very unfair as they are such clever things. This is one of a pair of magpie paintings I completed this month of the same bird in slightly different poses. They can be bought as a pair in another listing. I found a great contrast in these with the light grey of the background and the rich dark tones of the feathers.

Artwork comes framed in a solid wood, painted dark grey, frame. It is ready to hang without glass. Oil paintings stay healthiest with air flow over the canvas surface, it also allows you to see the texture of the paint without reflection. It is also available unframed. I have the frames custom made by Picture Frames Express but assemble them myself.
