Artist's description:

A very personal work depicting my grandparents' home in Loughanoran Co, Donegal that I had been thinking about doing ever since I embarked on my painting venture. I last visited when I was 5 years of age and almost every brush stoke was accompanied by vivid memories of peat, heather, chickens and the imposing Mt Errigal. This from a Gorbals boy. I feel privileged to have had the opportunity to do this painting. As a consequence of my research I have had the pleasure of reacquainting with a few of my cousins far and wide who I haven't seen in many a year.
