On October 28th 2013 one of the "Greetsiel twin mills" at the German North Sea, was badly damaged by the hurricane "Christian".
I took the photo for this work in December 2013. At night with the special lights the mill does not look green. I love the mood, standing at the canal and watching this lovely scene, also the damaged mill. It has something mysterious, magical, the lights, the fog, it is just fascinating for me.
The green mill of Greetsiel is a very special place for me. I had my first solo exhibition here a few years ago.
In the meanwhile the damaged green mill is shining again in old beauty.
The photo was taken by me, first digitally optimised, then layered with textures and intensively worked out, and I'm always led by my feelings. Each of my photographs is unique in itself, since it is always processed out from a very special mood.
The photo is supplied without watermark and hand signed.
A Certificate of Authenticity with hologram - verification is attached to the image.
