Artist's description:

The inspiration for this painting was a particularly vivid daydream I had of walking through the mountains in Sedona, blowing bubbles and watching the sun slowly drip beneath the horizon, shooting out dusty white hot beams of light in every direction.

This is one my favorite paintings because, since I was a child growing up in Wisconsin, I've been fascinated with all things Native American. I was particularly drawn to the beauty of the headdress, and while I'm very cognizant that the war bonnet is not worn by women or worn in casual settings, I wanted to bring a peaceful, light-giving and feminine reclamation to the headdress. I hope that is captured here, nothing but reverence and admiration is intended.
