Original artwork description:

Unique mono print on vintage 1970s map paper. The cat came into the house at 4am one morning meowing and carrying a beautiful Magnolia leaf in its mouth. It left it in the hallway as a gift, immensely proud (for some reason). Quite how she got it is a mystery as the tree is evergreen (not to mention belonging to our garden-designer neighbour).

So the only option was to make an artwork using it. The leaf was inked-up with relief ink and printed onto the paper by being passed through the printing press. It was then passed through again without inking it to create the 'shadow'. This is the first in a series using this leaf found by 'Duchess'.

Sold unframed but in a custom-made, white-core mount. The mount is 70x50cm which is a standard frame size. Can be un-mounted and sent rolled in a tube if preferred.
