Mixed Media Original: Lone Skiff
One of my favorite spots in New England is Block Island, a tiny island located off the coast of Rhode Island. It's a place that is completely unhurried and most people travel by bicycle or moped. It is a place of salt ponds, tall bluffs and lighthouses. This is a tranquil view of a lonely skiff in the Great Salt Pond. This is the one-of-a kind original, not a reproduction.
This piece blends vintage ephemera (letters, photos, maps), acrylic paints and my photography to create a modern yet historical piece. Warm blues and soft neutrals round out this unique coastal piece.

Inspired by my passion for history, old buildings and natural landscapes, my photography marries beautifully with mixed media techniques including acrylic paints, inks and collage. Each piece tells a unique story through the quiet scenes captured, the vintage ephemera incorporated and the touches of paint that when combined creates a new piece that is greater than the sum of its parts.
My work is nature inspired, travel inspired, vintage inspired. I create art that speaks to wide open spaces, quiet places and simpler times.
