Artist's description:

Illustrations for Moby Dick
Back in Saigon (Vietnam), when i was a kid, my mom has bought me a wonderful book, this is A Christmas Carol of Charles Dickens. That give me a feeling of being alone in Christmas, without family, friends, but that was only a feeling...But now, i am in Berlin, far from my home, and in every Christmas, that feeling come to me clearly again and again, it's not only a feeling anymore, it becomes my reality, i have to face it everyday . So i decided to illustrate it. Since the Illustrations series for Dickens's A Christmas Carol i have drawn more using old story to illustrate my loneliness.
So, everybody knows this story, from Europe to Asian. In this drawing i would like to put those two main characters together in a scene in the wood. They are strange to each other but they are both lonely in this wood. The girl, of course, is lonely in the forest, because it's not her home. but she is too pure to know it. At the other side, the wolf is also lonely, in his own world, his own forest. Maybe for many people, it's just a villain, but for me, it's also a victim, victim of his loneliness.
