Artist's description:

This is a linocut print which I made in the early part of 2018. It may seem as though it was inspired by the patterns made in puddles after the rain - but this is not the case! I simply love to play with shapes and I really enjoy the energy that is created when shapes are put together in interesting ways. In this case I'm experimenting with the simple shape of a circle and the different tensions that are created by the lines within it. (I went on to experiment further by cutting the circles up and playing with the shapes in more ways!)

I have carved the piece from Japanese Lino, which I adore, using Pfeill cutting tools. It has been printed using black water based block printing ink on heavy weight 300gsm Snowdon Cartridge paper.
