This design is inspired by my love of wildlife.
The linocut is made with two printing plates. Plate one is for the green ink, the second is the reddish brown colour of the squirrel. Where the colours overlap a darker colour is created due to the inclusion of transparent ink red/brown colour. The colours are vibrant and intense. The ink used is specialist printmaking ink and I have used off white acid free Canson 180gsm cartridge paper. The colours, textures and registration at the edge of any handmade print vary which makes each one unique. I have tried to capture the true colours in the photo but there might be a slight variation due to lighting conditions.
I have made an edition of 95 of this design. The image size is 21 x 15 cm and there is a margin of 3-4 cm around the edge to allow for framing. All the Linocuts are numbered and signed. You may not get the number pictured but I can let you know the number of the Linocut and send you an image of it if you wish.
The prints will be dispatched flat in a reinforced envelope.
This will be posted with tracking.
