Question for the artist?

Artist's description:

This is a representation of Godrevy Island and Lighthouse, Cornwall depicting a play on light and shadow. The quote “a light here required a shadow there” is taken from Virginia Woolf’s novel “To the Lighthouse”. Godrevy is widely thought to have inspired the novel. As a child, the author spent many holidays in a St Ives guest house from which she could see the lighthouse. I see Godrevy Island and Lighthouse every morning that I wake up in St Ives and can never tire of that magical view. The image is influenced by cubism and has been said to look like the view through a prism. This painting doesn't require framing as it continues around the canvas wrap.
