Artist's description:

A pop-science painting combining the high energy of the Large Hadron Collider and Florence Welch of Florence and the Machine.

I enjoy smashing together disparate passions visually and seeing what connections get made by the viewer. In my ongoing work with the "Splice Series" I've brought visually striking images together on a flat surface to mesh their compelling formal features (line depth color etc.), but give them new, unexpected context. My hope is that this work can serve as a high energy tonic for the mind, an intellectual motivator to prod the viewer toward their own creativity.

Materials used:

oil paint
