Artist's description:

This watercolor abstract has a compelling aura of contradiction and energy because of the warm colors and diagonal strips. The cooler greens and blues push the reds, yellows and oranges forward. The diagonal, horizontal and vertical strips seem to anchor the chaotic splashes of color and act as visual guides into the painting. This painting is a metaphor for living as fully as possible while accepting the fact that all of us will die eventually. We can't hold onto life for ourselves or our loved ones forever without causing pain. We have to learn and accept that letting go and letting be is the loving thing to do.
