Original artwork description:

"Let Me Borrow Your Wings" explores the form of a dragonfly. Inspired by stained glass, I spread its wings wide to showcase the interplay of light and transparency. The original wings, while hinting at turquoise and green, lacked grandeur. Borrowing from another species, I gave the dragonfly broader wings, allowing sunlight to dance across its surface. Tiny white highlights mimic dewdrops on the translucent surface. The dry grass it clings to contrasts its delicate form.

The blurred background, a tapestry of greens, hints at a hidden, thriving ecosystem. Peeking through are dry plants, adding texture. The dragonfly, a jewel against this natural canvas, becomes a symbol of transformation. Its borrowed wings represent the potential for growth, the beauty of embracing new possibilities. May it inspire you to find your own strength and beauty, perhaps by borrowing a little inspiration from the world around you.

This painting was done with high quality oil paint on canvas.
It measures 16x10 inches with a depth of 0.87"
The sides were painted, and it comes with a wire so it's ready to hang! You can also frame it if you wish (frame not included).
