Artist's description:

“Lenny” is a painting about Alzheimer’s and what it does to a mind. Lenny was a guy who I met while I was volunteering at a Alzheimer’s facility. He was my age and a stamp collector who worked all his life and was in pretty good shape when I met him. I enjoyed the time I would spend with him talking and looking at his stamps Slowly over the course of a year I watched the disease kill him. It is not a happy painting but it is a beautiful painting. A lot like life in a way. It is airbrushed and painted first stretched to the wall before going on a stretcher. So the paint covers the sides. It is ready to hang.

Materials used:

Acrylic painted and airbrushed. The painting wraps all around the stretcher.

Lenny (2016)
