Question for the artist?

Artist's description:

A 4 colours layered reduction linoprint of a leaping hare, amongst the winds, from my original design. Inspired by the Scottish countryside depicting mountains and thistles in an illustrative style, and in attractive green and purple colours.

The reduction linoprint is where I draw the design on the Lino block, and then carve away each layer as individual colours are printed on paper by hand. Each print is pressed by hand and is therefore unique and original. Because of the handmade nature of mixing inks, layering on the carved Lino block and then transferring it to the printing paper by hand, there can be some variation between the prints.

I have made this design in a deliberately loose painterly style to depict the flowing winds, and give it a sense of movement and fluidity.

The print is supplied unframed but will be sent in a secure hardbacked envelope and in a cellophane/bubble wrap with an attractive gift wrapping so will be ready to be given as a present. Each print is signed titled and numbered on the front by the artist. If you would however like a framed print and mount as shown in the image, please feel free to contact me.

Each print is made using strong water-based printing inks on heavyweight 220 gsm printing paper. All sizes are approximate.
