Leaning Tree, was an accidental find in which i discovered a new way of transferring and transforming color into art. What initially started off as the destruction of one painting ended up being the genesis of several more, inspired by the blends and colors left behind in its wake. Instead of ruin, I found the beauty in the random.
The idea to have a stark, solitary tree came to me when i was considering the results of my experimentation, and just felt right. The simple, chaotic, yet calming and fluid blended backgrounds behold the image of a beautifully imperfect leaning birch tree
These paintings are initialed on front, signed dated in the back, This painting is the only one in the collection to not be gallery wrapped and would need a frame.
This discovery inspired The Timberland Collection - a collection of solitary tree images painted over various colors and techniques to represent moods, feelings and sensations. I hope you enjoy them!
