This piece explores the concepts of cymatics based on the removal of a geometric shape for sound/energy waves to bounce off of. I'm interested in the shapes created by our voices, music, sound and energy as each moves through open space. If the viscosity of air is increased and we could see the ripples of even the softest tone, what would emerge? This piece is an experiment in this idea. I used water as the vehicle to move the paint around the substrate providing the fluidity of form.
