Artist's description:

The image: icon and creative potential

The photographs that I made or the photographs that I took the magazines were torn into fragments that were then reproduced on the canvas with oil paint.
The potential of this experiment were primarily in the possibility of transformations and creating another reality starting from the fragment or of a potential expressed but not obvious
The contents of the fragments express the re-acquisition and re-appropriation of the image: the images in the computer, television or magazine must be returned to the control of man, my control.

The photographs have as its theme the artistic heritage of the city especially Italian and then their fragments and details become a constant presence in my work

This work

The facade of the library is the image of perfection and sought beauty in the Renaissance. Its visual fragment confirms in essence the same principles with an ironic lightness that is positioned in a dynamic fluid that becomes a theatrical stage that plays with our patterns, floating in the background.
