Original artwork description:

In my latest phase, I have been obsessed with the fluid sense of water and how to reverse or re-invent my old techniques. By taking the brightest highlights of the image and turning them into the main focus, I could take the negative space or the darks in the image and use the fluid motion that I have been so focused on creating. During the creation of "Essence" I had discovered a way to make oil look as if it is just a fluid. Like it was placed and froze in time whilst in the fluid phase. Ever since I have been experimenting with this technique and how to further liquify the look of my Oil paintings. In a sense my latest work is almost the exact opposite of what a modern street artist stencil really is. It does not take seconds to produce, depends on transitions and fluidity of the medium, and the image is not political or cartoonish. With this image in specific, my goal was to show the fluidity and innocence that is the adolescent animal.

Materials used:

Oil Paint , Canvas
