Artist's description:

"Lanterns in the covered market" was inspired by a visit to one of my favourite places in Oxford. There are so many sights, sounds and smells in the covered market all going on at ground level. I'd been going there years before I chanced to look up one day and got quite a shock. The ceiling is an incredible maze of beams and pipes and rafters, the lanterns were the icing on the cake, as I have a bit of a fondness for them. The ceiling really is this strange terracotta / salmon colour. I recommend a visit!
This is a reduction linocut in 3 colours (four if you count the white of the paper)
This comes from a small edition of 13 prints
