Artist's description:

An imaginary landscape with a levitating horse-shoe magnet, and a serpent emerging from a box. And in a similar way to the painting or the crow and the altar, I hope that the viewer will find themselves drawn into speculations, on what the significance of these two objects might be.
I have my own, but I think one of the enjoyable aspects of 'symbolism' in art, is that we can all bring our own individual ideas into the ideas within a painting.
I have found the work of Howard Selina & Michael Zelenkus - particularly their 'Dictionary Of Symbols' piece, very inspirational for some of my paintings. (Their work can be found at: www.hs-mz.com)

Materials used:

Acrylic, ink, graphite, and pastel.
