Question for the artist?

Artist's description:

LAIMA: Goddess of Destiny
According to a folk tale in Latvian mythology in the spring season if one is happy and he hears a cuckoo (who represents Laima), he will remain happy for the rest of the year!!
Laima is very similar to Lakshmi in her nature and function and is also associated with fertility. Its amazing how things are so interwoven and connected in various world mythologies. As I work on my paintings, I also read many folk tales and mythology of various cultures, I discover and learn so much. Our world is full of so much beauty. You just need to look!!
