Artist's description:

One of the many towers around the walled town of Noyers-sur-Serein in Burgundy where I spent some weeks in the summer of 2016 painting in watercolor. The youngest building in the town is a mere 250 years old. The rest are centuries older. The 800 or so residents include quite a few from other countries who love the town and unusually creative and intellectual mix of people. Painted on a heavy hand-made Punjab paper from India, that, as far as I can tell, is no longer being made.

Materials used:

traditional watercolor and archival pen and ink on handmade paper

La Tour (2016)
