Artist's description:

The garden of La Specola museum in Florence, is not well known it's a gem for that reason. A quiet spot in the very center of the hive of activity.

It's here that you can relax and enjoy the sun or the shade as you think about the marvels in the museum. The most amazing collection of minerals and gemstones I have ever seen and an amazing collection of medical wax sculptures from the 18th century. An absolutely intriguing place, full of wonders.

I planted myself in the shade here for many hours and was captivated by the play of light as it moved slowly across the side of the building, partly framed by the foliage. The shadows within the gate really held my attention. I couldn't help wondering what other marvels are being studied within the laboratories attached to the museum. It's dark shadows captured my imagination as much as the light that moved across it.
