Original artwork description:
Synthetic representation of the Rocher du Capucin, in the Calanque de Figuerolles, in La Ciotat. After a series of snapshots taken on site, the artist painted this work in his studio, near Aix en Provence. As usual, he likes to work on pure colors taken out of the tube, to mix them with sand (From Zanzibar for this series). The paste is then spread on the canvas with knives, in large areas that highlight the color.
