Koi fish originate from Japan and represent love and friendship in Japanese culture, Most koi fish outlive their owners, having a lifespan of 200+ years and they can come in a variety of colors, not just orange, but white, red, gold and even black. Owners who received their koi fish as a gift are believed to have good luck. In Japan, koi fish are often passed down from generation to generation, as a family heirloom.

This painting has vibrant colour and a very subtle flowing amount of texture that helps give the feeling of movement and fluidity, Painting using a mixture of materials including Acrylics and Ceramic Paints and a smft gradient of tones from light to dark. The painting has been fully varnished and protected against u.v light damage so you will know that the colours and vibrancy of the painting will stay as good as new for years to come.
