Artist's description:

A brand new edition of this widely collected print which has received critical acclaim from press, bloggers and design influencers worldwide.

Each pie represents the five most prominent colours within the painting, portraying each one as a percentage.

Signed, numbered limited edition of just 25, printed on smooth cotton high white Somerset paper velvet fine art paper using archival inkjet inks. A1size (594mm x 841mm), unframed.

“I’ve come up with a novel way of looking at colour trends. The pie charts are designed to be visually pleasing but also function as a colour trend visualisation tool. They represent famous paintings, portraying the five most prominent colours in each as a percentage. Using software to analyse images means the only creative decisions I made creating the impressionist pie charts is the shape of the chart and the number of colours it contains. The less arbitrary design choices the better. Information is beautiful.” - Artist, Arthur Buxton, 2011.
