I was very pleased to get a shot of this beautiful kingfisher on a perch outside one of the hides at Arundel Wetland Centre in West Sussex. It didn't stay long in any one spot as it moved around the lake, so it was critical to work fast. There are several things I love about this picture: the way the curve of the perch seems to continue onto the back of the bird to create an inverted S shape; the way that the bright blues stand out against the dark greys and greens; and the seemingly intent expression on the kingfisher's face as it surveys the area for potential prey.
This print is made using the Lambda C-Type process on Fuji Crystal Archive paper. Lambda C-Type printing gives true continuous tone, ultra sharp photographic images with crisp and precise edge to edge printing and absolutely no distortion.
The edition is limited to 9 prints. Each print is signed and numbered on the front and is sold with a Numbered Certificate of Authenticity.
Please note that while the actual image size dimensions stated are correct, the unframed paper size dimensions are approximate. There is typically a sizable border around the image on all sides to allow signing on the front of the print and to help protect the image.
Other print and edition sizes are available for this image. I can also arrange framing in a high quality black gallery frame with an archival quality off-white mount, if required. Please contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org for details and to discuss your requirements.
