Artist's description:

This artwork was inspired by the work of John Constable and was completed over a period of time while demonstrating at exhibitions.
The original reference was a printed engraving l found in a book. It was in black and white so l thought l would make up my own composition of the original but in full colour.
I was demonstrating at an exhibition which included some Kingfisher paintings and thought the place l was creating would make a good haunt for Kingfishers - hence the title.
This also gave me the idea to include a kingfisher in the picture, can you spot where it is?

Materials used:

Watercolour on textured cartridge paper

Kingfisher Haunt (1995)
