Original artwork description:

This colour pencil drawing of the stunning Kingfisher was my first wildlife drawing as I usually only drew domestic animals such as dogs and cats, so drawing this vibrant bird was definitely a challenge but a welcomed one!
I wanted to draw this as my first wildlife piece as they are such beautiful animals, with their vibrant colourings and markings. After doing this wildlife piece I really got the bug and have been drawing various wild animals since aswell as still doing pets.
It is mounted in a double mount which the inner mount is a rich blue colour to really compliment the drawing, and it is framed in a simple white wooden frame which works perfectly.

Windsor and Newton Bristol board paper, Faber castell polychromo pencils
