Artist's description:

This is one of a few images where I explored the purpose of a nude model in a studio setting, seeking something alternative and less seen in the art world. It is my view that a great deal of nude art, whether in paintings or photography, tend to duplicate familiar and traditional poses with some contrived meaning. It's a habit that often comes with a model who has practised for many years as a photographers model or posed in life drawing classes. If you look on the web you'll even find visual aids for models of umpteen classic poses to learn and practice! So as an artist I am very specific with my model about what I am looking for and what I am definately not.

As my approach to any of my work is to make an image, I will purposely turn the image on its side or upside down to find an image that pleases me. As an artist my rule of thumb is to follow my rules only and to make them up as and when it suits me. There is no meaning in this image, it simply represents the dynamic beauty that you yourself may discover.
