This lake is one of the highest glacial lakes in Indian Himalayas and finds a great place in the Hindu mythology, dedicated to the highest Hindu God, Shiva and hence its name Kedartal, the lake of Shiva. This is my first work on the Himalayas and the first and foremost inspiration behind my series of himalayan paintings. This place has a strange effect on people. It changes them.
