Titled 'Katarina' this original oil painting has been created with a simple monochrome colour palette.

I enjoy playing around with the paint, pushing, pulling, adding and removing. As I progress, I'm looking for the feelings which will lead me to completion. I toy with areas of abstraction, impressionism and realism until the painting feels balanced.

My aim is to not only convey Katarina's beauty but also her sense of mystery as she gazes into the distance deep in thought.
