The curve of the beach leads the eye to a taverna perched on a headland in this small painting. Orange and Blue are the dominant colours, mixed with each other to create the neutral colours. Waves have moved the shingle to create sinuous curvy patterns by the water’s edge. This is a painting about a hot still day with no people in evidence and undisturbed water picks up the reflections from the land.
It is painted in acrylic on canvas, protected with matt varnish and suspended in a deep box frame of white painted wood.
