Artist's description:

Tiwanaku is located near the southern shores of Lake Titicaca on the Altiplano, at an altitude of 3,850 m. Most of the ancient city has been destroyed, however the monumental stone buildings of the ceremonial center survive in the protected archaeological zones. Believed to be the spiritual and political center of the Tiwanaku Culture, its true purpose divides opinion lending to the mystery that surrounds this wonderful archaeological site.
