Original artwork description:

Piece challenges the viewer to acknowledge life and truly live it without the noise generated by societies rules and regulations. Piece leverages the quote from the infamous movie, Fear and Loathing, "Buy the ticket, take the ride" to help deliver the message. Imagery from the movie reminds the viewer of the memorable ride Johnny Depp takes essentially leaving said rules and regulations (as well as reality) entering into a realm of personal discovery and life. The New Yorker magazine background, a somewhat quirky and artistic print, further adds a sense of departure from reality with its cartoon depictions of the human and earthly form.
Objective of the work: To motivate through message, imagery and color.

Materials used:

Photo paper, collage materials, acrylics, spray paints, air brush on wood board and resin cover.
